Russian billionaire Alexei Mordashov’s £40million superyacht Lady M was moored on the Clyde yesterday, next to the Queen Mary at the Glasgow Science Centre in Govan.
The owner Mr Mordashov, 52, is the main shareholder and chairman of Severstal, a Russian conglomerate with interests in metal, energy and mining companies. In November 2016, Bloomberg reported that Mordashov was Russia’s richest man, with an estimated worth of $15.7 billion.
64-metre Lady M is the flagship in Palmer Johnson’s WI shipyard, Sturgeon Bay. She was delivered to her owner in 2013.
The yacht’s logo of a graceful cat comes from the idea of the owner’s wife’s fond of felines.

Yacht Lady M features a semi-displacement aluminium hull and aluminium superstructure, with teak decks. She equipped with an ultra-modern stabilisation system and was built to Lloyds Register ✠100A1 SSC Yacht Mono LDC HSC G6 classification society rules, and is MCA LY2 Compliant.
Her amenities include At anchor Stabilisers, Swimming Platform, Air Conditioning, Jacuzzi dip pool, Touch-n-Go Helipad, Helicopter Landing Pad, Swimming Pool, Tender Garage. (Lady M has a Norwegian built Windy Dubois SR52tender, called Little M.)
She accommodates up to 12 guests in 6 cabins, comprising a master suite, 1 VIP stateroom, 2 double cabins and 2 twin cabins. She is also capable of carrying up to 14 crew onboard.
Powered by 2 MTU (16V 4000 M93L) 4,150hp diesel engines and propelled by her twin screw propellers, yacht Lady M is capable of a top speed of 28 knots and comfortably cruises at 24 knots.
