86.5m Aquila (ex-Cakewalk) was built in 2010 by Derecktor Shipyards. The Waltons is now the owner. They purchased it for $150 million in 2014. The Waltons who is the founder of Walmart and now owns 52 percent of the company, are worth a combined total of about $149 billion.
The vessel has steel hull and Aluminium superstructure. In result of a more enjoyable cruising experience at cruising speed of 15 knot, the vessel equipped with ultra-modern stabilisation system which reduces roll motion effect. She features “at anchor stabilisers” which work at zero speed to increase onboard comfort at anchor and on rough waters.
After the refit in 2016, she was upgraded to a new cinema and a new look in master suite in the main deck and relocation of the sundeck Jacuzzi forward of the yacht.
Aquila accommodates 12 guests across 8 rooms and also capable of carrying up to 28 crew onboard. Her other features include Gym, Jacuzzi,on board WiFi, tenders storage.
