Hong Kong’s Natural Beauty

March 23, 2017adminUncategorizedNo Comments
Hong Kong is made up of four parts: Hong Kong Island, Kowloon Peninsula, the New Territories and the Outlying Islands.
Travellers travel to see the most renowned places and hopefully to discover something new something hidden.
People come from all over the world to seek the fusion of west and eastern worlds, the diversity and its natural environment.
The New Territories and Outlying Islands are ideal places to experience a peaceful and natural holiday.

Wu Kai Sha

(Chinese: 烏溪沙), formerly known as Wu Kwai Sha or U Kwai Sha (烏龜沙), is a place at the shore of Tolo Harbour, north-west of Ma On Shan in the New Territories, Hong Kong.
CNN.Travel features it as “Best beach for romantic sunsets”

“There’s no obvious way to get here, but if you find your way down the winding concrete paths to To Tau Village, you’ll be greeted by a rustic scene of wooden boats moored in the idle waters of Tolo Harbour. As the sun dips below the mountains and the city’s distant lights twinkle on, you won’t hear much more than the lapping of water. “

We went to explore in the daytime when the weather was breezy warm and the sky was clear. It’s perfect for treading along the beach or boat paddling.

As approaching to the beach, you are close to a giant “heart ” at the shore. Adding to the mystery it can only be seen when the tide ebbs out. The heart is 6 meters long and 7 meters wide. It’s made by a local man Mr Ng who loves the sea, with piles of stones over 3 years. You can walk on it to feel the love from the “heart” of the ocean.

From the distance, looking afar lies the World’s Tallest Bronze Statue Of Guan Yin*.
Completed in 2013, the 76-meter tall statue at Tsz Shan Monastery is the world’s tallest Avalokitesvara (Guan Yin) bronze statue.
HK$1.7 billion was donated by Li Ka-Shing, the richest man in Hong Kong, chairman of the Cheung Kong Group and the Li Ka Shing Foundation, to benefit society through the propagation of the Dharma.
*In Buddhism, Guan Yin or Avalokitesvara, is a symbol of boundless compassion and benevolence in benefiting mankind.
