Late in 2016 Fuegy launched the highly anticipated Lady Dragon. Lady Dragon is Hong Kong’s first super yacht specific fuel barge.
Fuegy spent time with captains, engineers and crews of local superyachts to ensure all elements of the bunkering process were filled to the highest standard. Focusing on safety, delivery and of course quality of the fuel being delivered we want our clients to experience the European standard of bunkering.
By using state of the art equipment and a team specialising in bunker barges, Fuegy was able to ensure all needs were met.
When working with dangerous goods there is no room for error to ensure safety. With compliance laws being the bench mark Fuegy wanted to raise this standard. On all bunkerings the barge will have a trained safety officer, engineer and a STCW 90 trained employee overseeing the process. The team upon delivery consistently monitors flow rate and pressure in the fuel lines to avoid any safety breaches.
When it comes to delivery and quality, Lady Dragon truly comes into her own. With a flow rate that can range between 0-1000ltrs per minute, the maximum intake rate can always be reached. This assures for a swift bunkering.
A major concern for many yacht owners is quality of fuel. By fitting a centrifugal fuel filter, separating contamination and water from the fuel we give captains and owners piece of mind that they are receiving high quality, uncontaminated fuel for their vessel.
Along with an increasing standard of services directed towards superyachts there has been a relaxation of laws for visiting yachts. In the past, visiting superyachts could only enter Hong Kong waters for operational matters such as participating in a yacht event or services or repairs. As of the 8th of December 2016 “Permission to Navigate” permits will not be needed.
These two major points of service and ease for superyachts entering Hong Kong are developments that we believe will make 2017 an exciting and extremely successful year Fuegy and our Apsa friends.
